Gorgeous little charming country town with many great cafes and
restuarants, sculpture gardens, old style lolly shop just to name a few
features. Then there is natures gifts, from Steavenson Falls to
Lady Talbot Drive, wonderful Beeches rainforest or abseiling in the
hills.

Lake Mountain (25km)
Popular location for cross country skiiing and general fun in the
snow such as tobogganing. With close proximity to Melbourne this
is the closest resort to show the kids or tempt your skiing skills.
As a summer location, the abundance of wildflowers tell there own tale.

Healesville (20km)
Best known for its Sanctuary, Healesville Sanctuary features Australia's
largest collection of birds, mammals and reptiles, and is a must see for
kids, overseas visitors or just everybody really - its great.
Other features are Hedgend maze, Maroondah Reservoir, large selection of
speciality shops, the historic Grand Hotel, and a modern shopping
complex to name a few.
